Events We Celebrate Frequently

September— Annual Rally Day BBQ. Band, Games, Bouncer, Water Slide, Drawing After Lunch for One Month Free Tuition for our Preschool or After School Care! The Women of Walter Hoving are usually our guests, and music is provided by Heart of Worship.

October-  Reformation Sunday is always celebrated the last Sunday in October. This past October, we celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the foundation of the Lutheran church. We had a huge celebration following worship, with great food, fun and fellowship.

December – Our annual “Hanging of the Greens” festival is on the first Sunday in Advent, in 2018, this will be December 2 @ 10 a.m.. If you have not been to this very unique worship service, make a point to be there this year! This service is woven with beautiful explanations of the symbols we use for Advent and Christmas, along with our favorite hymns of the season. Don’t miss it!

December — Glendora Christmas Parade/Christmas Caroling. The parade begins at 9am. Caroling begins at 3:30 pm. Everyone is invited to share the joy of Jesus’ birth with our community and our congregation through His great gift of music!

December – The Annual Christmas Choral Festival. This is a very special musical service told in scripture and song. It is an event for the entire family which utilized all of the musical offerings here at GOC.
