Holly Scherch – Interim Director
Hi, I’m Holly Henderson Scherch. I’ve been here at Grace of Calvary Kid City since October 2011. I started my childcare career in 1996 with Arcadia Unified School District, where I worked with Kindergarten through 5th grade children. In 1999, I piloted and supervised their middle school childcare program. I worked there until late 2005 when I moved to Minot, North Dakota. While in North Dakota, I was employed by the Department of Defense Youth Programs at Minot Air Force Base where I worked with children ranging in age from 9-18. I attended Citrus College, and Minot State University Bottineau, North Dakota and majored in Child Develpment.
I’m originally from Arcadia where my both my parents still live, and I have 4 sisters and 2 nieces. I am a very active member of the San Gabriel Valley APA and I like to cook and garden. I have a bunny rabbit named Fufu who is often a visitor here at Kid City.
It’s a great privilege to have the opportunity to be part of your children’s lives. I love what I do and I love this program. I am more than excited to be entering a new phase here at Kid City as the Interim Director, and look forward to what the future holds.
“Greater things have yet to come, And greater things are still to be done in this City…”

Hi, my name is Kristin Ehlenburg- Walker and I’ve been here at Kid City since 2015. I am currently a student at Citrus College, majoring in English. My husband Bryan and I live close by in Chino, but I grew up in Upland, with my 10 siblings. Being the 2nd oldest of 11, I have experience with all ages of children, but have primarily worked with the younger friends here at Kid City. I’m hoping to spend more time with the older friends soon, to gain more understanding and experience with them as well. I enjoy working here at Grace of Calvary, and like everything else in my life, I put all my effort into it! I strive to bring a fun and positive attitude into the classroom every day and encourage others to do the same. I love Kid City and love getting to know all the vibrant and wonderful children and their families. I look forward to what the future holds for me, and for Kid City.

Hi, my name is Nicole Nelli and I am so blessed to be working at Grace Of Calvary Kid City. I love working with children and being able to see them learn and grow. I think it’s important to get to know not only our students, but their families too. I am currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Child Development and excited to continue learning.
Hello, my name is Bobbi Nickels. I recently graduated from California State University, East Bay, with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Next to spending time here at Kid City with your children, traveling the world with people I love is one of my favorite things to do.
Growing up in the foster care system, one of my goals in life was to work with these children in foster care who have no support system because I know how important that is but as I got into childcare, I realized that regardless of a child’s position in life, everyone could use support. Having the right support system allows us to go far in life and it is beyond rewarding seeing these children grow because of the support we give.
I have a few teachers that I still keep in contact with that inspired me to be the person I am today. One of my long term goals is to go back to school and get my credential so I can teach and inspire other children how some of my teachers did for me. I look forward to working with all of the children and staff here at Kid City.
